From you
- National visa form, completed and signed, with 2 passport photos
- Passport valid at least 3 months beyond your stay, and a copy of the photo page
- Travel medical insurance that includes repatriation
- Criminal record certificate, legalised
- Proof of qualification, if your profession is regulated in Portugal

With your job offer
- Employment contract, promise of contract, or expression of interest

Good to know
- There is no job-seeker visa right now. Portugal's new qualified job-seeker visa is suspended until its implementing rules are published, so you need a contract first.
- Applying from inside Portugal (manifestação de interesse) has ended. You apply from Egypt.
- With a D1 visa, family reunification usually comes after 2 years of residence.
- Your VFS appointment is made in your own name on the official website.
